Whether you are considering a career change or you are currently working with infants and would like to upgrade your skills and credentials, our newborn specialist online certification training, will help you meet your goals.  You will learn how to become a confident and skilled newborn care specialist and work in the capacity of a newborn nanny, night nurse formerly referred to as a baby nurse, postpartum doula, or infant daycare worker.  

Formerly known as the baby nurse certification course, our non-medical newborn care training program offers options for students at all levels.  The standard level training is for professionals who would like to incorporate both essential and advanced training topics covering 0-6 months, such as baby sleep training, infant massage and more. The comprehensive Master class, covering care 0-12 months, offers the best training value for serious newborn professionals who would like to make babies their business and encompasses all aspects of infant care in addition to the specialized areas such as breastfeeding support, multiples and preemie care, postpartum needs as well baby sign language basics.  You will be prepared to provide attentive care while parents rest and recover after the birth of their new baby.  You will help ease the baby into a good feeding and sleep routine and monitor the baby’s health and wellness for any concerns, a true gem to families, agencies and the babies whom you care for.  


When you register, you will receive a complete student care package with practice training baby doll, swaddle blanket, student handbook and more. You will review video demonstrations and hear from leading experts as you practice hands-on baby care techniques and learn the business and professional side of working with families as you become a trained newborn care specialist.  Additional resources include information on salary, jobs, resumes, interviews, marketing, effective communication and more. You will learn about your role and job description as a competent infant specialist and how to discern the specific needs of each family.
